REPORTING ANIMAL BITES THAT HAVE OCCURRED IN SADDLE RIVER

Because warm blooded animals, such as cats, dogs, bats, raccoons, skunks and other wildlife, can carry and transmit rabies, animal bites should always be reported to the Board of Health. For bites that occurred in Saddle River, if you are making a report Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm call a Board of Health at 201 327-2609. If you are making a report after normal business hours or on a weekend, call the police department at 201 327-5300. The following form shows the information that will be needed. Reports can be made by telephone or the form can be completed and faxed to us at 201 327-0168.
